My son has been teething since he was ten weeks old, five weeks later and we know we are in it for the long haul as he only just has signs of any teeth and we know that they can take months to arrive. Although he is very happy my son's teeth have really put a dampener on his spirits at times and I am sure anyone with children will want to help take their pain away. We tried all sorts, Bonjella did nothing, his teething rings and toys helped for a while but once they were no longer cold he started again. He wasn't old enough for Calpol or Baby Nurofen so we tried Dentinox. We already used the cradle cap shampoo in their range and the anti colic drops and have had no issues so I picked up a tube for just £2.30 at Tesco's and decided to give it a go.

The gel is suitable from birth, comes in a 15g tube and can be used as regular as every 20 minutes if needed. It doesn't smell like other teething gels, there is no minty smell, it is a dark golden brown gel that you just need a little of on the end of your finger and you can rub it onto baby's gums as needed. It worked first time and even now my son is old enough for the medicines we have found that some of this gel negates the need for them. I went and stocked up and we now have a draw full.

I have also used this gel on myself, I couldn't find the adult Bonjella and have an abscess at the moment so needing to put something on to ease the pain I tried it. The taste isn't all that bad, and it took the pain away slightly. After using it for the day and night the abscess has actually gone down a little so I'm just going to carry on with it for me too!
