Advantages: Calms very quickly and can bring down temperature, easy to administer

Disadvantages: Maybe a little expensive? Although 17p a sachet has got to be a bargain for this miracle powder

We use these little miracle sachets at work regularly, parents bring them in to keep in the child's bag as a 'just in case' measure, sign a 'continuous use' release form so that they can be administered whenever necessary and we pull them out of the bag when the child is miserable with the pain of teething.

What are they?

They come in sheets of four small tear-off sachets of white powder, they are a homeopathic remedy with chamomile they are also natural and safe to use from birth to whenever your baby stops teething - usually before 18 months. They can be given once every two hours.

Do they work?

Babies love them! and so do stressed out nursery nurses and worried mummy's, most of the children in my room at work (the 1 to 2's age group) can clearly recognize the packet and straight away open their mouths wide to receive the granules - so I guess they must either like it's taste or know it will make them feel better, or both! Except in very extreme cases it will calm a child within 20 minutes, help them to sleep or even just to revert to their happy smiling self and play. It can even bring down a temperature to some extent (those burning red little cheeks).

Where can I get them?

Any good pharmacy or large supermarket should sell these little wonders.

How much do they cost?

The price is usually in the region of 3.99 for a box containing 24 sachets (which works out at about 17p a dose)

Summary: A brilliant product to calmly help you and your child through the pain of teething
