Advantages: Ease pain, Cheap and Durable

Disadvantages: IcyBite name misleading - place these keys in FRIDGE not the freezer. Large & bulky for 3 month olds

These keys were purchased for my son whilst he was 2 months old from Boots and cost about £4-£5. The teething keys are packaged in a sealed plastic container (which will require scissors) for and claim to be suitable for from 3 months and BPA free. The keys are held on a plastic ring which is also suitable for chewing on and the three keys contain a non-toxic cooling gel which cools when you place the keys in the fridge and are textured with bumps and ridges.

So my son commenced operation teething at about 3.5 months old and this went on-off-on for many many months until his first 2 teeth erupted at 8 months. To be honest these keys really weren't practical for my son at 3 months old as they were very bulky and heavy - definently too large for his to get into his mouth and too heavy for him to lift and hold for long periods (2 minutes is an eternity to a 3 month old). The keys only really became popular with him at the age of 5 months and then I had to purchase another set so whilst one was in the FRIDGE the other could be with him. One thing that I should definently point out is that contrary to the name you place the keys in the FRIDGE and NOT the FREEZER as you can end up burning your little ones gums - contrary to the name "IcyBite" which would indicate FREEZE to someone that was exhausted from sleepless nights.

My little boy is now getting his next couple of teeth through and these have been alternated with Sophie and his buggy book which is steadily turning into paper mache with all the drool. The keys are very much appreciated by my son when he's in pain and he definently seems to have a favourite key (blue) which gets gnawed on most of the time and although he has really really chewed quite enthusiastically there are no marks or any damage on the keys whatsoever leading to my conclusion that they are durable, ease his pain and real value for money.

Summary: Brilliant teething keys which do what they claim
