Ahh, another teether we had. I should have opened my own shop with the amount of teethers we had around the house!

The teethers are made by Safety 1st and come in a pack of three different ice cream and ice lolly shapes. They are very brightly coloured and really look like ice creams and ice lollies which I think is one of the reasons my daughter liked them though she barely used them as a teething aid, more as a toy to feed her dolls with. You just can't win with kids, can you?! They came in blue, green and purple.

The ice cream and ice lolly parts of the teether are made from a chunky rubber like plastic and filled with water. The idea behind these teethers like all teethers is that you put them in the fridge and let the water chill so that when you baby starts to chew on them, the coolness of the water filled bit will ease the pain of teething gums for your child.

They are a nice size for children to hold and each have a little handle though the ice cream shaped one was a little awkward as it has no hand holes to grip on to it.

When I popped one of these in the fridge it chilled very quickly which was pleasing however it did not retain the coolness and the teether got warm again very quickly. It barely lasted half an hour. Other teethers my daughter has had have lasted alot longer in terms of coolness than this - usually up to an hour.

My daughter lost interest in them as a means of teether very quickly and much preferred to play with them instead which was fine as they are very safe and there is nothing to come off of them which could be a danger to your child.

I did find that because the teethers are seperate they did get lost very easily and because my daughter did love them as a toy I was always on the look out for them.

In my opinion a teether is a teether and they all do the same thing just in different designs. These ones were disappointing in the sense that they lost their coolness very quickly even on cold days so heat couldn't be blamed.

I think we paid around £3.99 for the pack from Tesco.

      They do the job

We had multiple teethers aound my house when my kids were young but for some reason this ice cream teether was one of the favourites.

It is made by Safety 1st and is 3 separate teethers. They are made in the shapes of ice cream cones and ice lollies. They are brightly coloured which I guess is why the kids always made a beeline for them!

Teethers can be used by babies of ages of about 3 months and up- pretty much as soon as they are able to grab and hold items.

They are made from a rubbery plastic and are filled with water. They have been made very chunky which is ideal for little hands to grip and are a nice size for them to chew without worrying about small pieces coming off and going into babies mouth.

The idea of the teethers is simply to keep them in the fridge until needed. The baby will then chew down on the "ice cream" and it will help to soothe and cool gums that are teething. Even if your child isn't teething they may just enjoy being able to bite down on something.

The teethers stay nice and cold for about an hour and then you can either pop them back in the fridge or let the baby continue to play without it being cold.

The teethers don't come on a ring which would have been useful as they get discarded fairly easily and finding 3 together would have been a lot easier than finding 3 separate ones!

I would recommend teethers in general to any parent but in all honesty one teether is much the same as another, bright colours are a favourite with babies so these are good in that respect.
