~Tesco Cotton Buds~
A pack of 100 of these cotton buds can be purchased from the baby aisle in Tesco stores. The buds are made from 100% cotton. These cotton buds are presented in a small, plastic container with a push on lid - practical and not too bulky to store. At present. a tub of 100 cotton buds is priced at just 39p.
I always have cotton buds in our toiletrie box as they come in very handy for various tasks. These particular cotton buds are perfect for using on young children and babies as well as us adults. Whilst it is recommended that you do not insert this type of product into your ear drum, I do use them for cleaning around the inside of my ear and always have done. I think if you are careful and sensible, you won't cause any damage.
These cotton buds are well made. The stick is of average length when compared to branded products but perhaps a little more flexible and slightly thinner. There is a cotton bud on either end of the stick and each bud feels well secured and soft but not as thick as leading brands. With that being said, there is enough cotton to effectively cover each sharp end of the stick.
I find these cotton buds to be of a good quality and very useful. Whilst cleaning my ear, they are comfortable to grip and do not bend too much. I haven't snapped any as of yet so they are durable. The cotton bud part is gentle on the inside of my ears and any horrible ear wax is removed carefully and effectively without any discomfort to my ear. The cotton bud part remains in one piece which is more than can be said from the buds that you buy from the Pound shops and the likes.
I use these on my five year old son but tend to put an unfragranced baby wipe over the tip to clean just inside his ear. They are great at allowing me to wipe away any dryness on the outside of his ear which he gets often and hold their shape when dipped in water or cream. I find these cotton buds to be ideal for cosmetic tasks too. I have a few on hand whilst painting my nails as I can dip them into the nail polish remover and remove any excess nail polish around my nails. They are also effective at touching up any make up imperfections and are gentle to use around my sensitive eye area.
Other uses include cleaning a babies belly button, around their nose etc. The cotton buds are the right size for cleaning inbetween the keys of my laptop and behind taps or hard to reach corners in the kitchen or bathroom. They are very versatile. One end can be used and then the other without there being any compromise on the stick. I find them easier to use than the thicker Johnson's cotton buds.
These are cheaper than leading brands such as Johnson's and I am happy to continue to buy them as they represent great value for money and should be a staple product in every hour. I prefer them to the Asda version as the packaging is much more practical and holds the buds neatly together. The quality of these cotton buds is great and they are very easy to control and use. They absorb liquid well and are suitable for all the family to use.
