I bought this on offer in Asda for just £1 to have just in case, and I am pretty glad I did. My LO has had a couple of coughs where he struggles through the night, but he will take a dose of Tixylix from a syringe in his sleep and it always seems to soothe him. As with all cough medicines, it gives relief rather than is a cure for the cough but if it helps the whole family get a better night of sleep than who cares? It's that time of year when coughs, colds and viruses plan their most viscious attacks, not long have I recovered from a cough and cold myself when my 2 sons both develop a nasty cough. I wouldnt say its a great medicine but it does relieve symptoms for a short while. I had to buy this one as medicines are very limited as to what babies can have and they were really struggling with a bad cold and cough at around 4 months. Its not an expensive medicine think i paid just over £2.00 for it, Inside the box is 100ml of tixylix medicine which states its a soothing relief for dry coughs. It comes with a spoon which can be hard to give especially with small babies and they dont always get the full amount so i use a syringe which is by far easier.
