My daughter is just getting over her cold and what's left behind is a horrible tickley cough! At night it seems to be worse as every 10 seconds she's coughing and on a couple of occasions she's almost made herself sick. I was desperate to find something to help her, and one of my friends recommend Tixylix Cough syrup.

I bought the medicine from Tesco's it was around £3 which to me seemed like quite a good price especially if it was going to bring the relief from her cough that the box promised!

It is a standard cardboard box that you get most medicines in. I liked the fact that there is a baby sleeping soundly on the front which I hope my daughter would soon be doing! The bottle itself is a brown glass, it is helpful as it means you can see how much is left and so know to buy some more if your running low. It has the standard white childproof lid which is brilliant as it means you never have to worry that your child maybe able to get into it.

As well as the medicine you also get the measuring spoon to give the medicine your baby and the leaflet with all the information you need.

The syrup itself is a clear colour, it is also quite runny so be careful as you pour it as the first time it ran all off the spoon. The consistency of it also makes it difficult to give to your baby as I found while trying to give it baby it would all dribble everywhere! It smells very sweet and has a blackcurrant taste which my daughter seems to like as she doesn't spit it out!

Within 30-40 minutes my daughters cough seemed to go off slightly as she wasn't coughing half as much and once she was in a peaceful sleep the cough altogether vanished!

I would recommend this as it worked perfectly for my daughter!
