Advantages: Gives accurate readings.

I purchased one of these from my local pharmacy about two years ago. It comes with a tube to keep it from getting damaged and a battery already in the thermometer so you can use it straight away. You put it under the arm or under the tongue and after a minatue it beeps letting you know it has taken the childs tempreture and you simply remove it note tempreture and turn off.


theonly problem is children can turn the thermometer on as its just a button you press in.Themecury thermometers are not avliable in the shops now only digital ones even hospitals use the digital ones as the mecury ones can crack over time and the mecury can leak in to a childs mouth.

You can also by strip thermometers which you place on the forehead although the tempretures on these are not accurate where as the digital ones are as they go in the mouth which is the hottest spots in the body.I would recommend buying one of these to all my friends as they are brillant.
