Advantages: Shaped for small mouths, good to use when applying teething gel

Disadvantages: Some children may not like them

I am currently trying various products to help my little girl with her teething issues, I have already tried a teething ring which turned out to be useless, I recently bought a Fisher Price teething toy which kind of worked (although she just used it as a toy rather than to chew on) so now I'm trying the Tommee Tippee Gummy Teethers.

I found these at my local Tesco and thought I may as well give them a go, they come in packs of two and are available in various colours (I went for the pink ones). They are basically like a dummy but instead of having a bit to suck on they have a gum shaped soft rubber section (which also has little dimples on) that the child can have a good old chew on.

These are designed for stage one teething which is when your child chews anything in sight and has some discomfort from moving teeth. These are designed to go into your fridge so they can cool and soothe your babies gums and if necessary you can also apply a thin layer of teething gel which I think is quite a good idea as you baby will chomp down on it which will then coat there gums (saves you having to try and apply it with your fingers).

My little girl loves these, so far they are the only thing I have bought that I can say works, as soon as she puts it in her mouth she starts chewing away happy as can be. They are the perfect shape and size for her little mouth and they have a good size handle on them so she can grab them and put them in her mouth by herself. Sometimes she does get it wrong and ends up chewing the handle but this is also made of the same soft rubber so it works just as well.

These are suitable for all forms of sterilization and the come with clip on covers so you can take them out an about with you and you wont have to worry about them getting dirty.

As I mentioned earlier they come in packs of two, are widely available and the average price is around £5

Summary: Great little teethers, handy to keep in the fridge, ideal to use when applying teething gel

Choice of teething aids seems to be so individual!
