VTech Tiny Touch Phone:
... son is nearly 2 years old now and right from an early age has always wanted to play with mine or friend s mobile phones. I guess this is because he sees us on our mobiles so often talking or texting people and wanted to be involved. After he had throw a few mobile phones about we thought it would it be a good idea to get him his own mobile phone to play with. When he was about 7 months old we got him the tiny to... ELC Wooden Post Box ... boys often play with this at their weekly groups and really enjoy it. Its basically a wooden rectangular box that resembles a post box. It has a slot on the front and a small door that pulls open and shut. It comes with a colourful array of wood that are suppose to resemble letters. The post box hasn t held up very well since we started playing with it. The wood has been chipped a little and the colour has come off in places but it s definitely still usable and all the kids seem to love it. The actually letters or envelopes that come with it aren t that great to be honest. They are flat bits of wood that have a scribble of writing on the front and they come in paste... Early Learning Centre Pretty Polly's Pirate Ship ... son doesn t actually own this toy but it feels like it because every time we go to his play group, he searches it out and plays with it for ages. Woe-betide anyone who comes over and tries to take it away! This toy is available from ELC and it s a small pirate ship in brown. It looks quite chunky and authentic and there are sails, a little cabin and some pirates that come with it. The ship is really easy to move along the floor because it has some wheels underneath it so it glides easily. It does actually cope well with being pushed at great force across the wooden floor at our play group and although it looks as though it may topple over, it stands firm and keeps i... ELC Magic Mirror Laptop ... mum bought this for Elijah last Christmas . It came from early learning but she paid £1 for it as she bought it form a charity shop. The toy is basically a pretend laptop with four coloured buttons on the keypad that feature some animals and a mirror which lifts up and folds down. When you press the buttons the toy sings a song or says a phrase and a picture lights up on the mirror. I really couldn t get on with this toy at all. Firstly I really don t like toys that show no other initiative than for the child to rpess a button. I like creative toys that encourage imagination and role play which I think children learn a lot more from. The other thing I hated about th...
