Early Learning Centre Pretty Polly's Pirate Ship:
... son doesn t actually own this toy but it feels like it because every time we go to his play group, he searches it out and plays with it for ages. Woe-betide anyone who comes over and tries to take it away! This toy is available from ELC and it s a small pirate ship in brown. ELC Magic Mirror Laptop ... machines to do everything for them even down to telling there child I love you . It s just wrong and now I ve had my rant I shall move on. The good thing about it is the fact that there are animals on the buttons which when pressed made the sound that they are suppose to make. This is a good learning curve and Elijah soon picked up the noises. Elijah particularly loved the mirror especially when he was still lying donw. Because of the way it folded up I could sit it next to him and he would spend ages staring at his beautiful face. All in all this is a product that I wouldn t recommend and at £15 new I think it s well over priced which seems to be the case with ELC.... ELC Shape Sorter ... we go to our group, Elijah always finds this toy. It s a shape sorter that has you average numbers and shapes to push through the whole but it makes a noise when you push it through and there is also a side which has some beads on it and a side that has a phone. Normally I hate toys that have buttons and flashing lights but this one is different. The thing about shape sorters is that I find it difficult to help the child to fit them into the holes; if you put it in their hand and try to steer them where to go then nine times out of ten they hate you restricting them but if you show them where it goes and try to get them to push it through, it falls through anywa... ELC Click Clack Dino ... dinosaur cost £10 from Elc and is basically a pull along toy made out of wood. The wood is coloured in green and the toy has four bits of wood in the middle of the dinosaur which resemble the spikes on it s back and they move as you pull it along. Elijah was given this as a present and whilst it looks very lovely and cute in the box, it appears to be a totally different story when it s freed. I will start by telling you the good things about it; It s very hardy and although this poor little dinosaur has been tossed and thrown, he is still standing strong and although in some places, he a little bruised, you can t notice unless you study him.
