Dangey2009 ELC Construction Vehicle Trio: ... son has so many toys with flashing lights and noises that he doesn t know which to play with and some of them can have a very short shelf life. However, he is now 2 years old and still gets great use out of these three plastic, magnetic construction vehicles from the Early Learning Centre. It s amazing how much enjoyment you can get from a simple idea. At £10 they are a bit expensive perhaps for what they are but ...

rojm ELC Play Buttons
... Early Learning Centre is a British chain of shops selling toys for young children. It was originally set up as a mail order company in 1974 and by 1980 it had 10 shops - now it has 215 stores in the UK and 80 international stores in 19 countries. The good thing about these shops is your child can play with the toys in the shop although I still find myself telling them not to touch etc. They have their own website which you can order from (www.elc.co.uk) and they also take orders over the telephone on 08705 352 352. When my eldest daughter was little she had some play buttons from the Early Learning Centre. I remember her playing with them and having fun as well as ...

Claribella ELC Wooden Shape Sorting Caterpillar
... shape sorter or puzzle as I prefer to call it, will cost you you £10 and is only available from ELC. It s a wooden caterpillar that has a smooth round head at one end and it s body is made up of four different poles that have colourful, circular shapes on it that fit onto the poles. Each pole is a different shape and the idea is to find the right pieces that fit over the pole; a bit like a stacker. This puzzle is very well made and the poles are stuck into the main base with plenty of glue. They are so firm that no matter how much pushing and pulling I do, they don t come loose at all or even move. This is a fun take on a the average puzzle because it s interestin...

Claribella ELC Wooden Post Box
... need to get it almost exactly right to get it in. Noah has had a few tempers over this during our time playing with it but the day when he actually did it all by himself gave him great satisfaction. The whole thing is light and easy for the little ones to carry around. If it does get dropped on toes then it will hurt but the wood is so light that it wouldn t break any toes. This is a great product for developing hand/eye co-ordination but I have seen better post boxes on the market. If you like the wooden style toys then you will fall for this one but if not then I recommend Pop it in the post which is also from ELC and is a sterdier version with a lot more to do....
