Leap Frog Roll & Rhyme Melody Block ... hand me down but believe you can buy it for around £15. It is suitable from 12 months but I have been showing it to my 6 month old son as it has great catchy tunes, vibrant colours and textures to touch. He is too young though to move it around. Best suited for when babies are sitting well without support so they can roll it around themselves. The Roll and Rhyme Melody Block is a cube with 6 sides - each showing off a colourful picture which has an accompanying rhyme. I bought this cube for my son as I like the Leap Frog products and this cube caught my eye because it looks bright and colourful. It is a soft six sided cube; it has interactive activities on each side and plays rhymes or music. The Rhymes: You can choose between rhymes and music or no sound at all. When the music button is pressed, the cube will play a cute little tune for each side of the cube, however you can also select rhymes, which play according to each side of the cube. Leap Frog Roll & Rhyme Melody Block ... things instantly strike me about this toy. Firstly the tunes are not tinny or squeaky like most baby toys and sound less like a badly played child s keyboard and more like demo tunes from a more costly casio...secondly they music is ethnically diverse with African, Caribbean and Oriental tunes coming to mind as well as western. Another good thin is that you can change the modes and have rhymes to sing along with (each one relevant to the scene on that side of the cube) or just tunes.
