Tweenies

According to my three year old daughter "They are not toys daddy!" Thats the response I get when telling her to put them in the box with the rest of the toys. They are available from most big toy shops, but we got ours at Argos. Since we bought all four Tweenies and Doodles the dog for her last ... Christmas they have become part of the family. At a cost of about £12 each I thought it was a wee bit expensive, but now I think its amongst the best £60 I ever spent. I'm not sure if it is just another merchandise scam, but I am sure that the £12 each for them was far more worth it than the £12 each we paid for the teletubbies. The little Charecters are about 12" tall and resemble very closely what they are meant to. They are also very tough little fellas, I caught my daughter rubbing one in some mud and it had to go in the washer, It came out like new. One of the only downsides to two of the toys is that 'Jake and Bella' Have hair made of very fine strands of stuff( not sure what it is) and if her younger brother gets hold of it , it will be everywhere. She has all four Tweenies now and they go everywhere with her more or less, I'm sure she even learnt to go to the toilet by pretending that the Tweenies had to go! Some of the clothes on the dolls is removable, which i find not such a good point as its very frustrating for little kids to try and put them back on again (also frustrating for me as I'm not sure who wears what!) In summary then, they are a very colourful addition to any childs toy box , Hard wearing , and very good company for the little one when she goes up to bed as they have no hard parts on them.

Tweenies

My daughter got a cuddly Fizz and a cuddly Doodles for Christmas. Well Fizz is never more that a rms reach away, she takes her everywhere! She wasn't as impressed with the Doodles but Fizz was the bees knees. I know these toys are abit pricey for what they are but they are worht their money when they are played with as ... much as my daughter plays with hers. She knows that it is Fizz and even says Fizz in her language (sssssss), she is only 17 months old! The only down side to Fizz is that you can only surface wash her, she has been dragged around so much that she is beginning to look grubby and a surface wash won't surfice, so do I risk it, do I put poor Fizz in the machine knowing she may never be the same again?!! I'll update this opinion as and when I decide! Do beware of the copies that have been going around though, my friend got a fake Bella for £4 from a market and it is the most hideous looking thing that I have ever seen!! It's worth paying the extra to know that they are safe.
