Advantages: bright and cheerful, well made, easy to use for kids

Disadvantages: battery non replaceable

Yesterday was my sons 2nd birthday and amongst his presents was a small beanie bob the builder.

He is exceptionally made for a toy under £6 with his belt and tools (made of fabric) stitched on. I have had a good pull at them plus eyes to make sure!

When you squeeze his middle, he says "can we fix it" and is answered by "yes we can". The great thing about this is that not too much pressure is required to make him talk, (although after a week i might change my mind about that!), so my son can easily do it himself.

Bob can fix everything and anything that goes wrong in my sons world, he fell and hurt his head, i fetched Bob and got him press his tummy......smiles all round.

Bob has even taken tiggers place at bed time now, and we often hear "can we fix it........! during the night.

The only drawback with this toy is that it is non machine washable, due to the voice parts inside, and you cannot replace the battery and it only has a life expectancy of 500 plays. Having said that i think that Bob will go in the washer once his 500 plays are up and will continue to be my sons pal for a long time yet.

We got this Bob the builder toy from Woolworths and it cost £5.99, excellant value
