Advantages: Colourful, large buttons, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Could do with more features
The Bontempi Melody Piano comes in very bright colours with 3 main large buttons. The Melody Piano is suitable for children aged 12 months and up and is well sized at 19cm X 14.7cm X 5.8cm. The piano has an any key play function which basically means you can have it in this mode and all buttons create a sound and there are no tunes involved. This is probably the best mode for the younger children. there is also a mode to play different tunes and there are 8 songs pre-programmed. The piano requires 2 AA sized batteries which are the most common size so that is handy.
The 'demo' and 'select' buttons allow you to change the modes and there is a little clear plastic window with little shapes in. There is also a handle so your little one can carry it around and shake it about. I am happy with the Bontempi build quality and the fact the buttons are so chunky and that it does a few different things. I think there could have been more buttons or more interesting features added but overall for £5.50 with free delivery from Amazon I just couldnt say no to it for my friends child. The Bontempi Melody range is colourful and very affordable and this Piano is ideal.
Summary: At £5.50 you cant really argue.
