Some toys just never go out of fashion. My mum has some fisher price toys that I played with over 25 years ago, which still work as well as they ever did for my daughter today, and new models of exactly the same things are still being made now. When shopping in Boots yesterday I saw their activity octopus - and recognised it with a funny childhood flashback - I remember actually playing with a similar octopus, and I can't have been more than two years old. For something to still be around that many years after it was invented is a pretty good indication that's it is a great success. Leah loves her activity octopus and he's been one of her favourites since she ... Read the complete review

I bought this toy when my daughter was a baby and she never tired of playing with it. The toy then only came in one colourway but since looking in Boots recently it now comes in Blue and silver. The toy has a chime in the centre and the eight tentacles, each have a different feature as well as being different colours and textures. The toy plays a tune when one of the tentacles is pressed. My little girl particulary liked the crinkly tentacle, which was smooth on the outside but when squashed in her hands made a sound like crinkly plastic. It really is a good toy as when a baby is young it is light enough to place on their legs while they are sat ... Read the complete review

Boots octopus. Adrain?s 8 legged friend. This toy is one my grandson has. He loves to play with it, to touch it and feel it, to put its tentacles in his mouth .He makes the legs make a sound by pressing the squeaky areas it is a delight to see his happy face as he plays with his octopus. Boots octopus is a sensory toy. An excellent toy for a little baby experiencing rough, smooth, crinkly, soft for the first time. This toy would also be a good addition at work for my mentally disabled pupils for a sensory lesson to experience and understand different textures. The octopus is made of a soft brightly coloured fabric with designs of ... Read the complete review

My daughter (now 9 months) was given the Boots Millenium Octopull (the silver one) for Christmas and absolutely loves it. It is a silver octopus with 8 tentacles that do different things. They are all covered in different textured materials and they do different things, including playing a tune, squeaking and rattling. My daughter is currently trying to pull the eyes off, but as with any Boots toy, they are built to survive this so she will not succeed! This toy is great from the early weeks, when they will just look at it and turn their head when you make it play a tune, to later on when they are able to pull the tentacles and discover for themselves what ... Dont get me wrong, I love this octopus, as does my seven month old baby, the tentacles are all different, furry, musical, etc. He especially loves the crinkly one. The thing is, over the past few weeks I've noticed that when he plays with the toy, he ends up with the silver (from the millenium one) all over his face. At first I couldn't figure out what it was, then I noticed that the octopus has white patches that used to be silver. Surely this isn't right? I did want to keep this toy as one of the baby keepsakes that you keep forever and embarrass them when they're eighteen, but this doesn't look like it'll last eight more months, ...
