Advantages: Easy to inflate

Disadvantages: Can loose air over time

This is a simple toy that is great for children when they are beginning to get mobilem my daughter loved to crawl all over this and roll about on it when using it as a support when she was first starting to get vertical and start to walk. We paid £5.99 for it about 16 months ago. Unlike the one in the picture above we have a pink one, it looks like it is basically the same with the same images on the outside with the only exception being that the core colour is pink and not blue.

It is easy to inflate and initially it was pretty good at staying inflated without any need for a top up however over time as it got played with more it needed to be inflated a bit more frequently, I'm not sure if this was the seal becomming loose and leaking air or just because of the more robust play that it endured as my daughter grew and became stronger. There is a limited play life to a toy like this anyway. It is recommended for ages 6 to 24 months and I would say that this is spot on as my daughter is no longer really interested in this as a toy however when she was first starting to crawl she really did like it.

In side the roller there are a number of coloured balls which she can see move when the roller is pushed and they make some noise, the outside is decorated with pictures of animals and numbers and letters as well with lots of colour to focus her attention. This compliments other toys that she has and just like any other toddler she is fascinated by animals and the noises they make so any pictures always hold her interest.

When my daughter started to crawl she would seek this toy out and would sort of nudge it along with her head or hand although using the latter she sometimes would loose her balance and face plant into the carpet it was not an issue and never caused her to cry, instead she would get this look of concentration on her face as she tried again to reach it. As she got a bit bigger she would try and lie across it and peer inside to check out the balls.

Overall this is a simple and safe toy that helped develop her movement skills and it is well made. It does have a limited amount of play time with it but I would recommend it.

Summary: Good toy
