~ Chicco Super Rocking Rings ~
My son had this toy for Christmas last year and whilst they are generally aimed at babies who are 9 months+ he has been playing with them since he was 5 months old.
To be fair I hadn't noticed that they were aimed at older babies when I purchased them but in all honesty I can see no reason why a younger baby shouldn't play with them anyway.
There are no loose parts so to speak that would be potentially dangerous to a baby so I had no problem with giving it to him there and then.
I purchased these from a Christmas toy catalogue along with a few other bits and I paid £9.99 for them which I have to say is a great price in my opinion.
The toy is fun to play with and also educational with it teaching hand eye co-ordination. The toy is basically a ring stacker with six different sized rings which assend in size. The largest sits at the bottom and the smallest sits at the top.
The base of the toy is coloured in a bright green and white with a tapered stalk in the middle onto which the rings stack.
The base has a curved bottom which makes the toy rock hence the name - Super Rocking Rings.
The rings consist of three rings of a solid colour - Blue, red and yellow, and three rings that are clear and filled with little coloured balls again in blue, red and yellow. The rings resemble doughnuts in shape.
At the moment my son doesn't use this to stack the rings, he is only 10 months old, he much prefers to bash and throw them around and I am pleased to say that this has had no ill effect on them at all. They have withstood a daily battering from him for the last six months and are still in perfect condition!
As the toy is completely made from a good strong plastic it makes it idea for little ones who have a great habbit of sticking everything in their mouths and drooling everywhere. With them being made of plastic it just takes a dettol wipe (or whatever you want to use) to wipe them over once they have been finished playing with.
A great little feature is the top rubbery cap. This fits on the top of the 'stalk' and keeps the rings on there. Great for keeping it all together in the toy box.
Another great thing is that it is a toy that requires no batteries! I'm not promising you it's quiet though as the rings don't half make a loud noise when they are bashed against the floor!
This is available on Amazon for just £9.99 with free delivery.
Thanks for reading :o) x
Summary: A brilliant toy by Chicco.
