We got this as a present for our 6 month old for Christmas. As you would expect with V Tech, you get a good quality strong toy.
The idea of the ball is that it encourages your baby to crawl after it. The ball actualy moves on its own, in random different directions, so just when your baby crawls after it and is about to get it, it moves again! Its great how it moves on it own, and encourages the baby to get on the move. The ball is made out of plastic, is is easily cleanable. It has lots of different features avaiable, so you can play different tunes, and there are other buttons which chnage the light effects. Theres also a spinny wheel bit on the top, so they can investigate with there hands, and theres also some taggies, so they ca actaully grab hold of the ball.
The ball has two settings, so you can make it louder or quieter depending on the sound around you. The only downside to this is it doesnt seem to move as well on our rug, which isnt really that thick. The rest of our house we have laminate flooring, which works really well with the ball moving, and is also good for helping our son get about, without being too easy. The only other downside is that despite spening money for the ball, he prefers a simple plastic cheap ball to chase after!
