My daughter has been spending a few mornings at nursery now that I'm back working and after I saw her playing with these balls, or rather reaching for them and being quite absorbed with them I decided to buy a set, I was a little taken aback when I saw that they were over £18 on Amazon for a set of four however by shopping around I managed to buy a set of four for £12.99 which was a decent saving.
They are made from soft rubbery plastic and come in four primary colours of red, blue, yellow and green, they are covered in nobbly spines and spikes to give the balls texture and they are soft so that they can be squeezed. They are soft enough to be rolled or thrown gently and they help develop your childs basic motor skills as well as satisfying and stimulating their curiosity.
It is funny but my daughter always seems to be most drawn to the bright red ball, not sure why that is, maybe it is just the one that is the brightest of the lot or maybe she is already into danger as red tends to signify this on signs.
It never ceases to amaze me how something so simple can hold childrens attention for so long but these balls seem to and they are stout enough to cope with the inevitable trip into your babies mouth for a gumming or a chew.
