A TRAY FULL OF VEG READY CUT.

We have this tray of ready cut play vegetables at work as I guess so do many other schools and nurseries.
There are 12 pieces of veg in this set from the early learning centre it costs £10. There is a carrot, a lemon, an onion, a sweet corn, tomato, cauliflower, aubergine, red pepper, cucumber, broccoli and an avocado pear. There is also a plastic knife and a chopping board included in this set. This set used to come in a green plastic basket now comes in a veg crate /tray.
The vegetables are made of plastic and each item is divided inn 2 and has Velcro on the cut ends, which enable child to use the knife and cut the veg easily.
The veg is fairly strong can put up with a bit of maltreatment.

This set is a good play toy you can set up an imaginary shop and sell the veg to your friends and you can pretend to cook diner for yourself and mummy or teacher. Preparing and cutting the vegetables then cooking them on pretend stove. The vegetables can then be eaten by dolly; yes dolly vegetables are good for you mmmmm tasty carrots tomatoes are nice. This will also encourage child to eat their vegetables.
The knife and cutting of the vegetables will help your child gain fine motor skills safely using the plastic knife you can supervise and teach skills safely.

There is a set of fruit available and other play food too compliment this set if you are last minute Christmas shopping I think there is 1 day left to order this on line.

Now we have finished eating these vegetables stick the Velcro ends together and put them away till next time, oh look thats silly the carrot half and cucumber stuck together, who did that. Yes this set is good for teaching about vegetables and matching the correct halfs.
This set is suitable for a child aged 3 upwards or maybe a little younger and does help inspire their imagination. Thanks for reading Mary
