Nice addition to a Happyland collection

My daughter loves her Happyland collection, and we are always adding to it. Her favourite building she has at the moment is her Happyland Sunflower School, and although it came with a couple of school children, we purchased some more to go with it to represent lots of children being in a classroom.

We purchased Happyland Sunflower school children in the sale for £6.40 (if I remember correctly) from the Early Learning Centre, and I think they can be purchased from Mothercare also. It's RRP was £8.

The Happyland figures came in a circular flimsy plastic container, and each figure was standing in a plastic base. There are six school children in total, each measuring at about 2 inches high. They are made from a chunky plastic type material meaning they are easy to grasp for young children. My daughter actually started playing with Happyland toys just before her first birthday.

The six Sunflower school children in this set are all presented differently from each other, there is even one child in a wheel chair which I think is a great way to introduce this to your children. There are three boys and three girls, each with different skin colours, hair colours, and different detailing to them all.

One girl is wearing glasses, playing with a skipping rope. Another girl has her hair up in a ponytail with a handbag. The third girl is quite basic with just a hair band in her hair. The child in the wheelchair is a boy, with his hands on the wheels looking like he is about to scoot away. Another boy is wearing a school hat and carrying some sort food, t looks almost like a white roll. The final boy is wearing a tabard with a paintbrush in his hand.

The detailing on these figures is the same with all Happyland toys, and nothing has been left out. The differences between the school children are fantastic and by making each one different they all introduce children to people with lots of different backgrounds.

The great thing about Happyland toys is that there are a huge range of different sets, and these can help with young childrens imagination. My daughter, for example, has learnt that her school bus can transport these school children to school or even to her vet set! The possibilities with these toys is endless.

The quality of these school children is fantastic, ours have been chewed a lot, despite this, the school children don't have any teeth marks and are still in a great condition. They are very easy to wipe over with a wet wipe if they get dirty.

At £8, I think these are a little expensive, but if you can find them in the sale go and grab them! My daughter loves these school children to go with her Sunflower school. I think they'd be an excellent addition to any Happyland collection.
