Advantages: So many songs!

Disadvantages: Heavy

If you have read my other two reviews that I have put on today then you will know that my friend gave me a bag of toys a while ago with lots of toys in it and guess what? This is another thing that was in that bag!

It's obviously a pretend phone where the reciever is attached to the base by a small amount of cord. Some may see this as a health hazard but I don't think it's long enough to get wrapped around a neck or anything. It has a big red button in the middle of the base which your child can press and it plays a song each time. Surrounding the button is a yellow dial which turns and on the outside of this is fourcoloured strips that light up in time with the songs.

I have to say that I was really impressed with this piece of equipment (if you can call it that!).
My son has had hours of fun with it and was very disapointed when the battery ran out recently (I'm a bad mum and haven't got around to replacing it yet!).
The button is pretty big and my son could push it with ease which was great because I find it very annoying when he gets a toy and can only play with it when I'm around. He found the dial a bit complicated at first but turns it with ease now. I think it was his age that held him back more than the fact that it was too difficult to turn.
When the music is playing he likes to try and catch the lights as they go between the coloured strips and I often hear him giggling to himself whilst playing with it.

The best thing about this phone is the fact that it has so many songs on it. How many of us buy musical toys for our young ones then end up throwing out the window or hiding it in a cupboard because the one or two sounds it plays just drives you nuts? Yes I'm guilty of it too but this is the one toy that I haven't had to do that with. I think there must be around eight songs on the phone that are all recognisable and you will find yourself singing along to them. They each last the whole length of the song too.

Not only can you listen to the songs but it's great for imaginative play. My son spends a good amount of time having fake conversations with Nanny and Grandad.

The only bad thing about this phone is it is quite heavy for a toddler to carry and my son always ends up dragging it around by the reciever. It could have done with a little carry handle on the side or something but I expect my son would still carry it around by the reciever if this was on there anyway.

A highly recommended toy for your little ones.

Summary: A great phone the best one around by far

Sounds good. I'm always full of good intentions when it comes to replacing the batteries, but rarely get around to doing it lol. Well reviewed.
