ELC (Early Learning Centre) Table and Chairs......
A friend of mine has a small table and chair set for her two children and every time we visit their house Jack just loves to sit down on the chairs and play at the table. TI was for this reason that I thought a table and chair set of his own would be a great Christmas present for Jack.
Because of having so many toys about the place, I thought this would be one good present from my parents to Jack and so it was them who coughed up the money. The table and chairs are sold separately and usually retail for £20 for the table and £20 for two chairs. Luckily at the time of buying them, there was a small discount on bringing both items down to £16 a piece.
There are two colours to choose from a pink table with small flower along the sides or a dark blue table with a square pattern along the side. The chairs are either dark red with the square pattern or turquoise with the flower pattern. Now Jack being a boy I was certainly not getting a pink table but I really did not like the look of the dark red chairs so I opted for getting the turquoise ones. The flower pattern on the chairs is hardly noticeable and personally, I would prefer a nice colour for the chairs rather than worry about the pattern.
The two chairs come in one large box but each chair comes without the legs attached so that minimal assembly is required when you get home. No tools are needed and the legs fit in snugly which means that they are exceptionally sturdy. The table is the same with legs that lock into place and need to be firmly pushed down. Total time for assembly was under ten minutes and very easy.
I am really pleased with how the table and chairs both look and work. They are a great item to have in the front room for Jack to play at. It is perfect for him to play with his Play Doh or to do some colouring and the other day we had lunch sat there. The chairs are strong enough for an adult to sit on (even a hefty one such as me!) With thick chunky legs and a sturdy table you couldn't ask for better quality.
These chairs and the table are a brilliant buy and well deserving of a five star rating and a HIGH RECOMMENDATION. My friend has had her ELC set for over 5 years now and they are still going strong. I think the age recommendation is from 12 months to 5 years and they will definitely last that long. Compared to other cheaper versions of this set I would say that it is most definitely worth paying that little bit more to get a set that is going to last and be safe.
I hope this has been of some help.
Thanks for reading.
