      Great for the back garden!

This excellent tent set is ideal for playing in the garden during the warm, summer months......what's that? Oh sorry, I meant warm summer weeks...um, days....?

Yes, I know ~ we haven't exactly had the bestest of weather yet this year but, on the odd occasion when the sun does decide to show its shameful face, these are great for setting up in the back garden.

The set consists of a small pop-up tent, a tunnel and a cylinder held upright by a set of three poles that slide down the sides of the cylinder, keeping its shape. My daughter loves these and always insists we get them out after Nursery when the weather is nice so that she can eat her lunch out in the garden in them. All three parts fit loosely together creating a combination play-set that your child can climb through. My daughter especially insists that nobody enters her tent through the main entrance, they have to climb through the tunnel first which is okay except that they are not exactly designed for adults to get through so if I want to join her it can be a bit of a tight fit!

My only issue with these is folding them up to put away! The cylinder is fine because you just remove the poles and it then slides down to be stored. The tent however and the tunnel need a bit more effort to squeeze down into a storable size and the tent especially seems overly complicated to the point that I have kept the instructions for whenever I get stuck putting it away. (every time!)

They are made of durable, quite tough plastic and so are difficult to tear or rip but are quite light so if it is at all windy, these will blow away if not weighted down!

Curently retailing at £30, these are a lot of fun even if they are a bit on the more-expensive-for-what-they-are price!

Great fun for adults and children

Having spent a day at Ikea, we took my daughter to the childrens section and saw a tunnel which she enjoyed going through so thought we should get her one. On returning home, her uncle had bought her this one for her first birthday so we're glad we didn't get one too!

The Early Learning Centre pop up tents and tunnel comes in a deceptively small box. It contains a folded pop up tunnel, a pop up triangular tent and a cylindrical tent that requires poles to be used. We were given the 'girly' version so the tunnel is pink and the ents are a mixture of white, pink and purple with flowers. Each setion can be used individually or they can fit together to create a big 'run'.

The tunnel folds down flat and is held together with velcro that my one year old worked out straight away! It means I have to be careful when she gets hold of it as it pops up very quickly once the velcro is released. It is just over a metre long (ish) and is actually wide enough for an adult to fit through. My daughter has lots of fun going through this and we play hiding games.

The pop up triangular tent is open at both sides and has a door on one side that can be folded up and secured with velcro. The tunnel can fit into the doorway if you want. My daughter isn't as keen on this one and doesn't use it as much. It is quite hard to fold down as it has to be twisted and then quickly put in the box as it has no way of securing it closed.

The last part is a cylindrical tent that uses poles to hold it up. There are six poles that need to be fitted together to make 3 longer poles which are then inserted into the fabric to make the tent stand up. It is a bit fiddly to get this one up so we don't use it as much. It is a better tent though as me and my daughter can both fit into it.

I love these tents. They say they are suitable from two years but my daughter has been using them since her first birthday and they are fine for her. We used them inside for the birthday party and they kept the four babies entertained well as they kept following each other through them. There is a lot of scope for how to use them and they can be used inside or outside. It is hard to fit them all back in the box though so they do take up a bit of space. The biggest issue with these is that they take up a lot of room if using all three and you'll need a big room or garden to use them as a whole but they are fine used individually.

These have recently dropped in price and are only £18 now which I think is a great price for them. they are definitely worth the money for the amount of wear you'll get from them.
