ELC Tea Set
Advantages: Good size for little hands, encourages imagination, cute set
Disadvantages: Can buy similar cheaper
My eldest daughter is very creative and wasn't really one for imaginative play however my youngest really loves playing mum with her dolls. For Easter most of my family doesn't buy the girls chocolate as they end up with too much and so they get gifts instead one of which was this tea set.
I am not sure how much this set cost as like I say it was a present for my daughter however it is an Early learning Set which you can buy in their own stores, in Mothercare and in Boots.
The set came packaged in a cardboard bow with a see through front so you can see what is inside, the contents are a teapot with lid, a milk jug, a sugar bowl with lid, four cups, four saucers and four little spoons. The cups are about 2 inches across and the teapot which is the biggest item is about 4 inches across so the pieces are not huge although the shapes of them makes it a little difficult to find a way to store them.
Each item in the set is coloured blue and has darker blue, white and red spots on it, I quite like the look of this set as usually you find most of them are pink and this one is more unusual in my opinion.
The set is supposed to be for ages 3 and up however my one year old daughter loves playing with this and apart from her putting the spoons in her mouth and walking around the room there has been no issues with her playing with this set.
My two girls play really well together with this set and my youngest also play with it herself, she likes to pretend she is feeding her baby with the cup and the spoon which I find really cute.
The pieces of the set are pretty string plastic and there has been no damage caused to any of the set so far and it has been getting played with for a good couple of months now.
I think this set is great value and my daughter gets a lot of play out of it just god help me when she is big enough to want to actually put liquids in the tea pot like I did when I was little with one very similar.
