We bought these blocks when my son was 5 months old. We were on the lookout for toys that were easy to hold at his young age, were bright in colour to keep his attention and toys that would last a while. These ticked every box perfectly.

The blocks come in a sturdy rectangluar red box, with a strong blue carry handle and a yellow top. The top has holes, really making this toy a shape sorter.

There are 10 blocks in various bright colours and shapes. They are made of a thick durable plastic, so shouldn't snap.

Helps baby learn how to grasp objects.

Helps their sensory development by learning how to stack the blocks.

Helps baby learn 'actions and consequences', eg. if the hit the block on the floor, it will make a noise.

We bought the blocks in Tesco for the bargain price of £4.99. I have also seen them on kiddicare.com for £7.97, which is quite a difference.

They are very easy to clean which is a must with little ones! My son tends to put them in his mouth alot, so the fact they are too big for him to swallow is great and also a must. He will also take them into bath as they float well. This toy gets used daily and was a great buy. I would definitely recommend as a good basic toybox toy.
