Advantages: Easy to play with, brightly coloured, teaches shapes
Disadvantages: None
We bought this set for our eldest daughter when she was a baby when we found it on offer in Asda, the set is still available in many places such as Argso and Amazon despite being on sale for a few years now.
The set is made by Fisherprice and it is suitable for ages 6 months upwards, the set comprises of a bright red rectangular tub with a sticker across the front brightly coloured showing all the shapes with eyes and smiles as if they are characters. The tub has a bright yellow lid which sits over the top and then there is a blue handle for your child to carry it around with although obviously not at 6 months.
The set comes complete with 10 brightly coloured shapes which are to be put through 5 shaped holes on the top of the tub, you get blue circles, green squares, orange stara, red triangles and purple crosses. There are two of each of the shapes and each is about an inch and a half each way meaning that they are very easy for a young baby to grasp.
The set is made of hard plastic so is durable, the sticker on the front actually stayed on for the time in which my daughter played with it which is surprising as I find toys played with a lot tend to deteriate in this way. The whole set is bright and colourful so attracts young children to play and of course they only manage to use the set properly to begin with but after much cheering and clapping when our daughter accidentally got it right she got the idea and became very good at this.
We ended up giving the toy away as after much playing with it our daughter could do it no problem and got bored eventually just using the tub to carry toys around in, the toy was great fun and we would also use the blocks to stack up and for her to knock over. This is a well priced fun and durable set and we would recommend it.
Summary: Basic game but fun
