The Fisher Price Bat and Wobble Penguin is suitable for babies aged 6 months and over. My daughter has had the penguin since she was 9 months old and is now gone 2 and a half years and has recently lost interest in it (apart from using it as a punch bag every now and again!) so in my opinion the penguin is suitable up until 2-3 years old. The penguin is inflatable and needs to be blown up before use. It is about 1 and a half foot tall (I was quite suprised at the size of it when I removed it from the rather bulky box) so doesn't take much puffing to blow it up. The base of the penguin is plastic which weighs it down and also holds batteries (2 xC, sadly not ... Read the complete review

My husband purchased this toy for our youngest son, as a holiday gift after visiting Canada. He purchased it in Walmart for $10 canadian dollars which roughly equates to £7. They are available to purchase in the United Kingdom for an approximate cost of £15 though this can vary by a few pounds depending on stores. At the time of purchase my son was 9 months old and the recommended age for this is for children aged 6 months and older. You are rquired to inflate the body of the penguin and it also require three D Cell batteries for the sounds and music. The penguin base is a black hard half circle made of plastic, this enables the penguin to be able ... Read the complete review

We got this toy as a present for my babies 1st birthday, when we had unwrapped it for him (he was not interested in opening a single present on the big day!) we were most surprised. The Packaging ------------------ The box is roughly 45cms tall and 35cms long and about 6cms wide. It has a picture of a baby sat with the penguin on the front of the box with a big pull up flap which opens up to double the length of the box and has an actual size picture of the penguin, which stands at about 50cms tall. On the box it states that it is for a child aged 6-36 months and states that you will need 3 C size batteries, which will become apparent why ... Read the complete review

We bought this for my son when he was about 8 months old as it was nearing Christmas and we thought it would be a nice pre-christmas treat. It cost £15 and the box described it as a penguin who played music and I'm pretty sure it said something about the balls being blown around inside. Anyhow, we got it home and were really disappointed with it. It's basically a penguin which is made of a velvet feel material. You have to blow the penguin up. It is on half a circle so it can't really fall over, it just wobbles around it different directions, fun for a few minutes or so but not really a favourite toy as such. The music and ... This pengiun was bought for my son for his first christmas when he was about 6 months old. It is a velvety feel pengiun which you inflate, and it has a hard bottom which is weighted so that when you bat the pengiun around it doesn't fall over but just wobbles. There are balls inside which blow around when you put batteries in the base (not included) and the pengiun makes sounds. I must admit, my children have plenty of "noisey" toys so we have never put the batteries in but this has not spoilt the fun! My son used to love batting this pengiun around when he was in his door bouncer, and it aided him in learning to use his feet ... Read the complete review
