My husband purchased this toy for our youngest son, as a holiday gift after visiting Canada. He purchased it in Walmart for $10 canadian dollars which roughly equates to £7. They are available to purchase in the United Kingdom for an approximate cost of £15 though this can vary by a few pounds depending on stores. At the time of purchase my son was 9 months old and the recommended age for this is for children aged 6 months and older. You are rquired to inflate the body of the penguin and it also require three D Cell batteries for the sounds and music. The penguin base is a black hard half circle made of plastic, this enables the penguin to be able ... Read the complete review

I bought the Fisher Price Bat And Wobble Penguin for my daughter when she was about six months old having had it recommended by a friend. To say I was disappointed in this toy is a real understatement and I feel its one of the worst toys I have so far purchased for my daughter. The toy is an inflatable penguin and must be blown up before giving to your baby, it takes no time at all to inflate luckily. When inflated I would say it stands at about 16" tall which was a nice surprise. The base of the penguin is thick plastic rounded bottom, like a semi circle and this is where the batteries are placed. The body of the penguin is textured so its lovely for ... We got this toy as a present for my babies 1st birthday, when we had unwrapped it for him (he was not interested in opening a single present on the big day!) we were most surprised. The Packaging ------------------ The box is roughly 45cms tall and 35cms long and about 6cms wide. It has a picture of a baby sat with the penguin on the front of the box with a big pull up flap which opens up to double the length of the box and has an actual size picture of the penguin, which stands at about 50cms tall. On the box it states that it is for a child aged 6-36 months and states that you will need 3 C size batteries, which will become apparent why ... Read the complete review

This pengiun was bought for my son for his first christmas when he was about 6 months old. It is a velvety feel pengiun which you inflate, and it has a hard bottom which is weighted so that when you bat the pengiun around it doesn't fall over but just wobbles. There are balls inside which blow around when you put batteries in the base (not included) and the pengiun makes sounds. I must admit, my children have plenty of "noisey" toys so we have never put the batteries in but this has not spoilt the fun! My son used to love batting this pengiun around when he was in his door bouncer, and it aided him in learning to use his feet ... Read the complete review

My baby had this from about 3 months and initially was not that interested in it. I realised that my baby loved to kick but wasn't big or strong enough for most of the kick toys I could find. I decided to try and teach him to kick the penguin and he loved it. The penguin makes a noise if you push him back far enough and after a few months his legs were getting really strong. He's now 1 and he still loves playing with him, the only criticism I have is it would be good if he was a little taller as I think my boy would find it easier to play with him. But he is good quality with lovely colours and sounds which has provided hours of amusement for all the family. ... Read the complete review
