“ Brand: Fisher-Price / Age: 6 months+ / Type: Playsets „
With all of my family I have them trained to be on the look out for Fishr Price Jungle Items as Alex has the Fisher Price Rainforest Items and we try to buy him toys that are also themed around this.
One afternoon I received a phone call from my Mum to say she had seen something in our local charity shop but she wasn't sure if it was something that would fit in with our son's nursery so I popped into the car to take a look and was suprised how big it was.
I believe that when the item is purchased brand new it retails at over £75 which to me is extremely overpriced and I consider this a real bargain after picking it up from the Charity Shop for just £6!!
When you purchase it from new it will require some assembly. however I was fortunate enough to have it already assembled I just had the task of fitting it into the car!
Approx. 36" L x 24" W x 22" H when fully assembled.
The Crawl & Cruise Jungle Playset is a semi circle play gym with a monkey to the centre of the playgym with large hands for you to drop one of the 6 balls into and they will fall into the spiral and pop out through one of the holes to the left or right of the monkey.
On the left hand side of the toy is a large blue elephant with large ears for the balls to be placed into and they will fall into the elephants trunk below and to the right hand side of the toy is a large purple hippo which can be spun around.
A hanging crocodile can be found hanging down and when baby knocks it or touches the wheel at the top of they gym it will generate a jungle song and the lights on either side of the monkey will illuminate.
There is also a large chime ball which hangs down and this rattles when pushed and also generates a song and the lights.
To the top of the play gym you will also find a yellow mirror which our son loves looking at himself in! A large butterfly is also on the other side of the gym and this can be pushed around and opened and closed to create a click clack sound.
A roller ball with rattling beads also offers extra stimulation for baby as they spin it around to make a noise.
A large red frog can be seen to the top of the gym as it bobs around and baby can twist it and pull it all around.
Overall this offers a great eal of entertainment for our son and it is a toy that grows with him.
Sitting, crawling, standing or cruising this toy offers him plenty of entertainment and he loves the jolly musical tunes that play as he experiments with the various activities.
To operate the tunes and lights this toy required 3 x AA batteries and you can also find a switch to turn it on and off, ideal if you have it positioned next to the cot like we do and want it to be turned off incase you accidentally knock it on when putting baby to sleep.
There are 3 different songs that are catchy and easy enought to learn and sing along with baby.
Suitable from 6 months this is ideal for baby to pull himself up on and help learn to stand as it is sturdy and very unlikely to tip due to its design.
Overall this was a great bargain find that my mum spotted and our son is certainly entertained I don't think it is worth all that money brand new but if you can pick one up second hand, a bit of a clean and its like new and will keep your child entertained for hours.
