Advantages: Lots to play with while they're sitting down

We got this for our son's 1st birthday so that he'd have a nice chair to sit on (and play with!), rather than sitting on the floor all the time. It was in instant hit - he loves listening to all the tunes etc. - but he refused to sit on the chair until about a year later!! The toy is made up of a chair which senses when you sit down or stand up, then says a phrase or sings a song accordingly. In addition, there is a little light which you can switch on or off by touching it (and it announces whether it's on or off). There's also a little clock which sings a song when you move the hands around! Finally, there is a little book with pages you can turn, which plays different songs for each page. There are two moods - ABCs and music - so there's quite a bit of variety for the child. Nearly four years later, we still have this chair and it continues to be well used by our son and his little brother!

Summary: A popular toy in our house, although the kids tend not to sit on it!
