Advantages: lots of features too do
Disadvantages: only lasts a few months as its smal in height and babyish
My daughters first birthday was creeping up and I wanted too get a toy for her that she would keep for quite a while instead of buying toys im going to chuck out a few months later.
I was excited too find this kitchen which is more for babies/toddlers then for older children. After shopping around a few places I saw that it was roughly around £65 - £70 most places. Untill I came too Argos which was reduced too £30! I thought what a bargain its an offer I couldnt resist!
The box was huge and at first glance I thought 'oh my god' this is going to be so hard to assemable where as actually it was really quick and simple and I had it up in 10minutes. The peices just clip together and the the instructions are really easy too read.
I was slightly disappointed at the height of the kitchen. My 1 year old was already towering over it and it didnt look like it was going to last 5minutes! There are many things for the children too play with on this toy:
Fridge door that opens which plays music when its opended
Shape sorter
A plastic book they can turn
A flower that they can spin
A light bulb in the arch way which lights up and plays noises when the toddler craws through.
A oven with a shelf in
A light switch too turn the light on and off
A sink which has a tube so they can chuck balls in and it comes out the bottom
The tap moves up and down and makes noises
A hob which has sensors on so when you put the pan on it makes noises
A radio which plays music
A toaster which they can press the toast up and down and it makes noises.
There are also different settings you can put it on: Alphabet, Numbers or sounds. It counts 1-10 in a very american voice but it taught my 1 year old how to say 10 which I was very chuffed about!
I found that my daughter got bored of this very fast though and 2 months later I sold it on as she never played with it anymore and got too big! This is the only disadvantage for this toy so I would suggest that you buy it when your baby is 6months.. so they have a good few months use out of it!
Summary: Great toy but get earlier then 1 year old
