Advantages: Lots of buttons to press, things to open & close etc.

Disadvantages: Fridge door stopped shutting properly very quickly

We were lucky enough to find this on sale in Toys R Us a couple of months before Christmas '08. We got it as a joint present for our two kids (age 3 and 2), but particularly for our 2 year old who loves to open and close doors! We thought he might like to open and close the toy fridge door, rather than the living room doors which often ended in caught fingers! This is a large toy, so best suited to houses with a fair bit of space! It features a pretend kitchen setup, complete with a fridge and oven (both of which open), a hob (complete with saucepan!), a toaster and more! There are quite a few buttons to press and sounds effects to enjoy. Both kids love the toy kitchen, although they don't spend huge amounts of time with it - but it is something they keep coming back to. Our younger child loves popping the bread in the toaster and pressing the various buttons, whereas our older child loves to do pretend cooking on the hob and in the oven! The only problem we've had is that the fridge door doesn't catch properly, so it's never quite shut - this happened within a few days of use. Overall though, it's a well used toy in our household although not the most popular of all their toys.

Summary: Colourful, interactive and big enough for two to share!

Supergluing a magnet to the door will fix the door issue
