Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Nursery Rhymes CD Player

Our littlest one got this CD player toy as a Christmas gift last year and as far as I can find ranges between £8.00 to £15.00 on various online sites which seems average for toys like this nowadays.

This toy CD player does not play real CD's, though comes with a pretend CD which plays five different nursery rhymes, though these are all sung in a slightly different way, a way which to begin with at least does become quite annoying. The songs include;

Knick Knack Paddy Whack
Hey Diddle Diddle
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Hickory Dickory Dock
Variation of Pop Goes the Weasel (which mixes two different nursery rhymes together)

The CD player is very durable even with a youngster banging it around when singing and dancing with it in hand! On the front is a large orage button which when pressed spins the CD which can be seen through the seethrough bit on the front, and then stops on a picture of either a cow, sheep, monkey, mouse or dog - each of which represents a different tune on the CD. On the top of the player there are a further three buttons which plays the song, says the name of the relevant animal and makes the sound of the animal. The CD player looks rather like a face with a handle on top to carry it with some bright colours which really appeals to the child.

Months on and my youngster is still loving this toy, and although I find it a bit annoying, I am happy that it entertains my little one.

3 x AA batteries are needed to play this CD player which were included in the toy and last for quite a long time without needing changing.

Although it doesn't look like much, it is a lovely toy for the age range perhaps between 6 months and two years. The downside is that there is only one pretend CD which is a shame, though fully recommended.

Summary: Provides hours of fun and singing for a youngster
