Advantages: Durable, cute little noise, walks with a lead, good price
Disadvantages: Doesn't hold little ones attention for long
My youngest daughter was bought this toy as a christening present by her godparents along with a keepsake they wanted her to have something for her to play with.
Lil Snoopy is a creation from Fisher Price and can be found in two different colour weays, light brown with dark brown or white with dark brown, my daughters dog was light brown with dark brown ears, patch on his back and his tail. Lil snoopy costs about £6 to buy which I think is a good price for a childrens toy, the toy is aimed at children aged 12 months and up so my daughter was a little young at 9 months when she got it which may explain why she wasn't interested in the toy.
Snoopy is about 15cm long and is made of hard plastic, he has a blue collar with a little name tag on it although you would expect the name tag to say Snoopy it actually says Fisher Price, Snoopy has a piece of red cord attached to his collar as a lead for pulling him along so we only allowed our daughter to have the toy whilst supervised so there was no chance of strangulation.
When you pull the toy along with his lead his head turns from side to side, his legs rotate in a circle so they look as though they are walking and he makes what is supposed to be a barking noise although to be honest it is more of a squeak than anything else.
My youngest daughter wasn't impressed with this when she was first given it although my older daughter liked to pull it along even though she was too tall for the lead and would end up with the dog swinging behind her. As my youngest grew a little she began to be amused by the toy if you oulled him from side to side in front of her and then once she could walk she started to take him for a walk although it sort of defeated the object when she put him in her toy buggy to go for a walk.
I think the toy is a nice basic idea however it hasn;t really had much playing with as once my daughter got to a year old and got all her birthday presents most of which made noise and flashed lights she wasn;t really interested anymore, I would give the toy 4 stars as for all there is nothing wrong with the toy in comparison to other toys on the market it just doesn;t really do enough to grab a little ones attention especially my daughter who likes to dance around to the noise of her toys.
