Having seen some of the 'Little People' range owned by other parents & friends, I decided it would be a good purchase for my son. The range is made by Fisher-Price & the set's available are varied & extensive. Since hubby is always going on about barns & farms for our little boy, I opted for the 'Animal Sounds Farm'.

As with most toys, it seemed somewhat expensive (retails around £30), but thankfully it has been a big hit & well worth the money. The set consists of a red & white barn, which folds out for play & latches back together for storage. There are several 'pens' for the animals, including a stable, cowshed, chicken coop, pigsty & sheep paddock. Each area makes a different sound in some way (such as open the stable door to hear a neighing sound, or put the pig in the mud to hear oinking). The larger section of the barn has a second level - the farmers house - which includes a bed on which the farmer can be laid & then by turning a simple dial on the side the bed tips up & the farmer goes flying out of the window! (Or the sheep or the pig etc, depending on what the little one has put in the bed!). There is also a front door to the barn, behind which is a mat which plays Old MacDonald when pressed.

The set includes several animals & a farmer, & accessories like a weather vane & corn.

Overall, i am impressed with this set, particularly with the range of sounds made.
