I was looking for some older toys for my 18 month old when we saw this in Tesco for half price. It has been one of the best toys we have bought. My son plays with this every day and it was well worth the price we payed but I do not think it is worth the full price of £40. You get the 'base' of the zoo with 3 enclosures, a bird stand at the top and a platform for the sea lion. There is also a hidden monkey that pops up and makes a noise and the harder you hit the lever to see the monkey pop up, the higher he goes and can get to his bananas at the top which really amuses my son (he likes to feed the monkey). Good animal noises for the lion, sea lion, elephant, bird and monkey. The toy is very sturdy and withstands the usual toddler bashing that children give it. Comes with fence, a small hut, a small barn, many animals, a car, 3 figures and a couple of other little bits for a zoo. My son loves this so much I am going to buy him some more of the Little People range for christmas. I have recommended this to many of my friends and would recommend it to any other parent with young toddlers. I wouldn't say it was that suitable for a 12 month old as they don't tend to do the role play that slightly older children do. I have found this particularly good as many toys seem to be a bit too young or designed for 2-3 plus so this range is very good for children inbetween these ages.

Summary: A very highly recommended toy for 18 months plus.
