Fisher Price Magic Rattle Pooh
Advantages: Fun, magic
Disadvantages: A bit hard to understand
We have one of these magic rattle toys by Fisher Price. Our one is a Winnie the Pooh but you can also get a Tigger with a magic rattle too although Pooh is definitely our favourite.
Winnie the Pooh and his amazing talking rattle!!
We love Winnie the Pooh in our house and have a lot of different versions of him. This Winnie comes with a rattle that as if by by magic makes him sing, dance and talk. We received this toy when my little girl was little and now are using it again for our little boy. Its a fun interactive toy for them and one that either you can activate or they can activate when they are a bit older that brings a lot of fun and enjoyment, at least by looking at my little ones faces.
Winnie the Pooh is in a sitting down position and you cannot move him out of the position. Winnie looks quite classic and has on his usual red vest and has soft yellow fur as well as quite a big tummy. It's in this tummy that you will find the battery pack. Winnie is quite plush and cuddly although the battery pack in his tummy doesn't make him as soft as just a regular Winnie the Pooh toy would be.
Winnie holds a rattle in his hand. The rattle is blue and plastic and not the nicest looking rattle but then I don't think the look of this really matters, its what you can do with it that's the fun part. You also get a separate rattle that baby or you can play with. The rattle looks just the same as the one that Winnie Holds so you always know that this is the rattle that goes with this toy. At the back of Winnie is the on/off switch so you need to make sure this is switched on in order for him to work. There are two ways that he will begin to sing and dance. You can shake the rattle in front of Pooh and he will start to play some music and move from side to side. There is quite a good reception area and you can stand quite a ways away from it in order for it to work. I think its fun to do this when baby can't see you doing it because all of a sudden out of the blue Pooh will start to move and its fun to watch their expression and see Pooh move. Pooh will stop once the little song he sings or his phrase is over and then you need to shake the rattle again in order for him to start again. However, if you stop for a minute or two Pooh will move by himself to remind you that you are still playing with him and that you need to shake the rattle.
Pooh will also sing and dance if you press his tummy although this is not as fun.
I do really like this Pooh although I think the phrases that he says are quite hard to understand and you do need to listen quite carefully to figure out what it is. He talks in the traditional Pooh bear voice so if you have ever watched one of the cartoons you will know what I mean. Pooh says things like, "All stuff and fluff," "lets play," "this is fun," and "this tickles." He will also play Here we go round the mulberry bush and will play one line of the song and then will wait for you to shake the rattle again in order to play the next line and so on.
A cute version of Winnie the Pooh
