Advantages: fun sounds, moves along the floor, each brick is unique

Disadvantages: batteries soon die

This was one of the first toys we bought our son for his first christmas and was only 5 months old. Think we paid about £25 for it at the time, but was definately worth the money. He is now 3 and has only just stopped playing with it, and thats mainly because it broke (not surprising the use it has had), but occassionally he will still get it out of his room and push it along. Its great for babies to crawl after, but the songs and moving blokes will keep the child amused even before they crawl. I remember my son sitting for hours just putting different bricks on it and sitting with his finger on the button that spins in circles watching it go round.

The train itself is very brightly coloured and sturdy. It comes in 2 parts, the first been the steam engine and carriage, the 2nd a removeable carriage and think it came with about 5 different peek a boo bricks which were circus themed with elephants, lions, clowns etc on.

Turn it on underneath and press the funnel and watch as it chuggs across the floor. The engine can have a brick placed on which bobs up and down as the platform rises and lowers, in the first trailer, it has a spinning button which turns the animal in the block round and around, then the trailer at the back can fit 2 blocks which act as a see saw as it goes along.

You can really have hours of fun with this, however the batteries dont last long, unless it was just my son never stopped playig with it. I wish it still worked as my daughter would love it.

Summary: a great fun toy for hours of play and for a wide range of ages
