Advantages: All of it.

Disadvantages: The tune can get a bit annoying

My son got this for his first birthday. He's two years old now and still plays with it nearly every day so it was definitely a good buy.

The toy is a bright and colourful train with a circus theme to it and it's made by Fisher Price. The train has a trailer that is fixed to it and an extra one that is detachable. There is a platform on the train that moves up and down and the trailer behind it lights up and has a platform that turns around and around. The detachable trailer has a platform that moves like a see-saw. The train comes with peek-a-boo blocks which fit snugly onto the trains platforms and if you put the right ones in the right slots then they will turn or move the bits inside the blocks. The train lights up and when you press the funnel at the front of it, it moves across the floor and plays a nice tune or says 'Choo, choo'.

The train requires 3 AA batteries but we have had the train for over a year now and have never had to replace them in that time. Like I said earlier, he plays with it most days so it's not like we've only used it once or twice in that time.

The vehicle is very tough and durable. It's been banged around a fair bit and I have on the odd occasion kicked it across the floor when I have been trying to cook and my son has decided to bring all of his toys from his toy box out into the kitchen!

My son loves loading up the train with lots of different blocks, pressing the funnel and watching it move along the floor before pressing it again. Although it doesn't go very fast, it does move well on carpet and on hard floors. The great thing about it 'Plodding' along is the fact that Noah can take off blocks and replace them if he wants because it isn't whizzing along too fast.

When he was smaller he delighted in watching the train move and loved putting his fingers in the holes where the red lights were. He'd try to catch them with his finger as the rotate from one to the other.

The blocks that come with this train are really good and I am so impressed with them. If you put them on the train then the mechanism on the train will move the object inside creating a nice scene. For example one of the blocks has a little red train on a track and if you put it on the trailer then it moves the train and it goes around the track and through a tunnel. Not only are they great to use with the train, they are also good to use in other ways. When I was potty training Noah I would put them next to him and he would build them up then knock them over. We'd also discuss what was inside them, talking about the colour, the particular animal or object that was inside and the different colours we could see.

Last of all this train has an on/off button which stops me from going insane as the music can drive me mad sometimes. The button also enables you to have the volume at certain levels too which is great if I fancy watching a bit of TV.

Over all this is a great buy and my mum informed me that it only cost her £14.99 which I think is brilliant. There is so much to it and you can also more buy the Peek-a-boo blocks to add onto it and they are a good price too.

Summary: A fantastic toy for any child.
