Advantages: cheap

Disadvantages: none

For just £14.99, the Fisher Price Peek-a-Blocks Press N Go Train is a real bargain. The idea behind it is that it's a circus train, transporting all of the animals in little boxes (not the most politically correct toy in the world to be fair). Running on 3 AA batteries, it chugs along, whilist the animals in the boxes spin around or move up and down on the see-saw truck.

We got this for my son's first birthday, and I was amazed at how cheap it was - you certainly get a lot for your money.

For one, there is all the appeal of a train for those who are Thomas fans. Secondly, it's a moving toy, and I am happy to say the 3 AA batteries are still going strong a year later.

The third appeal is the boxes, in all their moving glory. Each has a certain groove in it which will only fit in its alloted place. It's a very clever design, and to see a spinning monkey and the like adds to the fun. When the whole thing is up and running and moving along, it's certainly the most fun train we've got (and we've got dozens!)

The colours are bright and exciting, and the noise it makes as it goes along, along with the light up element of it, combines for a real sensory extravaganza.

The train itself is strong and durable, still looking new to this day.

In a market where so many kiddies toys are too expensive, or a let down, this is just a really nice toy that succeeds in every way.

Summary: buy one
