Fisher Price Press & Go Crocodile
Advantages: Looks good, durable, very fun, my son loves it, no batteries required!
My son was given the Fisher Price Press & Go Crocodile from my grandmother for his first Christmas. I was pleased because I know Fisher Price make great quality toys and I also noticed it doesn't require batteries which makes a change!
- The Crocodile -
The Crocodile is made from hard plastic and measures approximately 17cm in length and 13cm in height. He is a lovely vibrant green colour with a few darker green scales on his body and a yellow belly. He has two cute little eyes and a big mouth which can open to reveal a red tongue and a set of white teeth. He has a tail which can do a 360 degree turn with a loud clicking noise. Instead of feet the crocodile has four textured, brightly coloured wheels. There are two trusting blue birds on his back which can be pressed down to send the crocodile across the floor with his mouth opening and closing. Overall this is an attractive and fun looking toy.
- Press & Go -
At six months my son instantly liked this toy when we played with it at Christmas but after the festivities he got rather forgotten about as we had so many new toys to play with. I found it again when my son was ten months old. I pushed down the birds and the crocodile whizzed across our wooden floor towards my son and suddenly he was in hysterics! I did it over and over again, videoing his reaction because it was just so cute and funny! He has loved it ever since. I think it is especially entertaining because the crocodile goes so fast. He runs well on a carpet too but the speed is definitely better on our wooden floor. My son likes it if I shoot it towards him or away from him so that he can chase it. Now he is 13 months we can pass it back and forth between us and he has no trouble pressing the birds down himself. If you hold the crocodile and press the birds down the mouth will snap open and shut. I sometimes do this, bring it towards my son's face and say 'he's going to get you!' which my son thinks is hilarious. I find this a good toy to take over to other people's houses as it is small and light but still very entertaining. I think he will last us having more children as he is very durable.
- Age Range -
The crocodile is suitable from six months which I think is accurate. I think it is best suited to a crawling or near crawling baby. At 13 months my son still plays with this.
- Price and Availability -
My Grandmother bought this from John Lewis where it is currently priced at £7.95. I think this is a very good price for such a good quality and very entertaining toy. It is also available from Amazon and I have seen it in large Asda and Tesco stores where prices vary.
Would I Recommend?
I would absolutely recommend this toy as it is great quality, really fun and is a great price.
Summary: Another great toy from Fisher Price
