Fisher Price Say Please Tea Set
Advantages: Great for learning and role play..
Disadvantages: May make you hungry
My daughter got this last Christmas and is still played with almost daily, especially as she has just got a tea trolley for her birthday. This is such a cute little set and aids children with learning manners, co-ordination etc. It has the sounds tunes shapes and colours all an important part of learning.
This Fisher Price set costs £16.99 from Argos and is suitable from 6 months up. It consists of the teapot and two cups which all have a cheeky face on them. Also a plate with 3 plastic cakes on, but whilst checking the latest price on this I looked at Argos and they call the cakes teeth-able cookies?? anyone can see they are cakes, thinking to email them about it.
The cakes (not cookies) slot into the plate in a certain way as each cake (not, you know now) is a different shape, we have the round cake with strawberry icing, the square chocolate cake and the triangle sponge with white icing and white hundreds and thousands on top. The teapot lid opens up and has a little hole bit with what is meant to look like a teabag in it at least I think that is what it's meant to be.
The two cups are cute and a nice size making them easy for a child to hold onto.
Now the teapot is excellent it has three different settings, a music one a role play one or a learning mode. The music mode plays two tunes. You press the music symbol on the teapot to set it off once you have the correct mode chosen but it does play tunes on all modes really. I am sorry I cant remember exactly what each mode does in order, I should after the amount of time been playing with it. The learning mode teaches manners, when you open the lid is says, Hello/Goodbye open/close & up/down. One of my favourite parts of the set is when you tilt the teapot as if you are going to really pour tea and it makes a pouring sound.
Honestly this is perfect for any child that enjoys role play, we've had hours and hours of fun with this set but sometimes I do wish we had a bigger family as there's only so much plastic cake I can bite into and so many cups of invisible tea I can drink. I was laughing so much last week whilst we were playing with it as when she brought me my cup of tea (role play remember) she tripped and threw the cup at me so I then proceeded to pretend to wipe all the tea off myself. Her face was a picture and she was looking at me as if I was totally mad, I'm sure if she could talk more she would have said "mum you do know this isn't real don't you". Still makes me laugh now.
The whole set is safe with no bots to break off and batteries are sealed safely.
Set came with the required 2 x AA batteries already installed and still going strong.
I highly recommend this and is worth more then 5 stars. Be prepared for lots of tea drinking and cake if you get your child one.
Summary: Great set for youngsters encouraging role play whilst they learn.
