“ Brand: Fisher Price / Age: 6 months „
Our son received the Fisher Price Choo-Choo Train as another Christmas present from his granddad, and I have to say it is one of my favourite toys he has had ha ha.
The Choo Choo Train is a musical moving train with a train and carriage. It plays 4 different tunes, nine animal noises has a setting where the train will move along while the songs are playing.
Included with the Choo-Choo Train is the train carriage, a trailing carriage, one giraffe, one elephant and a monkey. The train carriage is bright red and very robust. It has a compartment for an animal to fit in which when you place the animal in it depresses a level and plays a tune. This is also the part of the train that can move, and if you have 2 settings on the front, one to keep the train stationary and one that allows it to move. To activate the songs and movement you then hit the green smoke stack. This smoke stack also lights up with internal led's when pressed. The train carriage also has 2 volume settings and an on/off button at the rear.
Also at the rear is a hook to attach the trailing carriage to. The carriage is yellow in colour and holds two other animals. The carriage has a bar for the money to hang off, and various movable parts and rattles to keep baby entertained.
The train carriage will easily pull the rear carriage behind it using the power of 3 size C batteries and these seem to be lasting well!
The Amazing Animals Choo-Choo Train is great for young children as it is fun and educational. Each animals and carriages are full of rewarding activities such as movable, clicking joints, textured feet, chewable ears, rattles and more. These help encourage fine motor skills and the moving train promotes crawling and movement.
The toy is suitable from 6 months to 36 months and really is a lovely item. Colourful, robust, lots to do and educational! We have found no issues with it at all. It moves well even on thick carpet, the batteries appear to be lasting well, each animal has lots of moving parts and textures to amuse and the songs are educational. It retails at around £30 from shops such as Argos, Smyths and Amazon and is well worth the price tag.
I loved Fisher price toys when I was a child, they were handed down to me from my aunty, I passed them down to my sister and they were then passed on to a family friends children. Fisher price toys are made to last forever!
Now I have children of my own the collection is growing again. My Aunty purchased the Fisher Price Amazing animals Sing n go Choo Choo for my son for his first christmas, he was 6 months old at the time I thought it might have been a bit old for him but he loved playing with animals making them click and rattle etc they also came in handy for him to chomp on as he was cutting his teeth.
The train is motorised it moves around the room towing a trailer the funnel lights up and it plays very catchy animal tunes, you will find yourself singing them all day. As the train moves around the room it encourages your baby to crawl after it, you can also alter the setting so that it makes animal noises. The train comes with a Giraffe a lovely colorful toy that has clicky legs that baby can turn round, he sits in the front carriage of the train. Next comes the bright blue elephant he has lumpy ears that have a texture that is ideal for teething babies, on his carriage there sits a little red pelican on a spring, my baby loved this he boinged away for hours. A monkey hangs from the bar on the back of the train he rattles and is really sweet!
Suitable from ages 6 months plus fisher price are trying to encourage cause and effect, babies enjoy making things happen. The train takes 3 C batteries, they last for ages.
The only negative I have fond is that the train does get stuck on the slightest thing and makes an annoying clicking sound until you move it.
My son is now nearly two and he loves this toy, we will no doubt be following the tradition of handing it on to other children.
I bought the Fisher Price Amazing Animals sing and go choo choo train as a present for my daughter when she was 7 months old.
I saw it in the entertainer toy shop on offer from £30 down to £25 and thought it looked like fun for her!
I was first very impressed with the size of not just the train but also the animals. There is the main train part which is chunky and has a large funnel, then there is the clip on carriage that is also a nice chunky size. There are 3 large bendable animals - part of Fisher Prices Amazing Animal range. There is one giraffee, one elephant and a small monkey which can swing from the bar on the bar of the carriage.
The main train part is the bit where all the action takes place! There are on and off setting as well as friction/push along (where it goes by its self or by pushing) and the funnell is pressed for various songs.
The space on the train where there an animal can sit (either giraffe or elephant) also sets off the train to sing little songs about which animal.
There are other seperate Amazing Animals and add on carriages you can buy to accompany the choo choo train.
I think this is great for younger children, the lights and sounds and bright colours are stimulating and attractive and they can also crawl along and push the train as there are handles on the train that makes this easy to do so.
The plastic is strong and in the 2 years I have had it not one thing has broken - very good quality.
When I first got this toy alot of my friends with young children decided to get one too as they liked what they saw. Even my older 3 year old now still likes to play with the train and the chunky animals are easy to hold for small hands and they have legs and necks/ears that move and twist and makes a noise when you do so.
Definatly a hit with my children and I even went on to buy some extra animals etc.
This is one of my son's favourites. Fisher Price can be relied on to make good quality toys that children actually pay with. This particular item features the train itself, a trailer which has two sections and 3 animals. All are brightly coloured, interesting and of excellent quality. The train has quite a few features yet is easy for a baby to operate. If you press the main funnel of the train the child hears a musical animal song and the train moves along the floor and the funnel flashes. There is a little switch which allows you to turn the wheels off for a younger baby who isn't on the move yet. Another smaller funnel on top of the train makes various animal noises when pressed and there is a pressure sensor inside the train which is activated when an animal is put in, this plays a couple more animal songs which are very catchy and actually not annoying! There is also a switch which allows you to adjust the volume and turn it off altogether.
The train comes with a giraffe, elephant and monkey all of which have moving limbs which make a clicking sound when you turn them. The trailer part has bars at the back which can be used to hang the monkey on by its tail. The fact that it comes apart is quite useful as you don't have to take the whole thing if you're going out.
The batteries seem to last quite well, we've had ours for a few months and not changed them.
We got this for my baby son who is now 11 months old at Christmas, and my 3 year old likes to play with this too.
Fisher Price just seem to know how to make good solid toys that children love! This toy is so well made, It looks strong and durable and is likely to last beyond my childrens use of it, where I then plan to sell it on ebay.
The train comes in too compartments with the carriage that just unhooks easy enough for those small hands, the 3 animals included are the girraffe which twists the elephant twists too with moveable ears and trunk and then there is the little monkey you can hang off the bar, this makes a rattling noise.
The animals are all textured with bright colours, and suitable for teething babies, and for those little hands to explore.
You can also buy more amazing animals seperate, I think they are about £6-£10 each but I have not got any extra ones as yet so cannot comment on what they are like.
When you press the trains smokestack it lights up and sings "all aboad the animal train" its quite an american sounding voice which can be quite annoying. There are 2 volume settings and also you can have the train moving or stationary. So if you have a crawling active baby this is a great toy as they can chase after it. My son however is not one for crawling yet and just likes to watch.
As I mentioned earlier my 3 year old has also taken an interest in this toy, although he knows it is his brothers he likes to nab it off him every now and again and push it along the floor.
You dont have to just put the animals in the train, my son likes to play with those plastic balls so he is always putting his different toys in the trays on the train.
The actual train part where you can see from the picture above, well the platform when you put something in, it sings and makes different noises, which i think is a great idea.
This toy does get through batteries but no more then any other toy in its class, this does alot of singing, makes alot of noise and moves to its expected, it takes 3C batteries.
Be expected to pay around £25-£35 for one of these!
Worth every penny!
This train is made by fisher price and is brilliant it is very eye catching and will grab your child's attention. My little boy got this for his 1st birthday and it was his best present he always plays with it. Mind you though the animals never stay in the train he always puts other things in there such as his cup etc. It is basically a train with a detachable trailer in the front of the train there is a round funnel which you can press and it will move along the floor by itself singing hop on board the animal train come on everyone this is a full song and is very catchy. The train has flashing lights when the music is playing.
The train comes with 3 animals, a monkey which can hang from the back of the train by his tail on the little bar going across it, an elephant and a giraffe. Each of the animals have reward features such as moveable and clicky legs, textured feet and teethable ears. Each carriage of the train has different activities such as spinning brightly coloured leaves, a rattle bird and some spinning bananas. When you place an animal in the front carriage it sings a few different songs. You can buy different amazing animals which can be used in this train. The train costs £24.99 at Woolworths.
The train has an on and off switch and also a volume control switch for when the songs are doing your head in. I often find myself singing the songs from this train as the tunes are really good. This is a really good toy and brilliant for babies and toddlers. This toy requires 3c batteries.
Musical train to get baby's attention and keep your little one entertained.
