Fisher-Price Stack and Roll Cup Stacker
Advantages: Versatile, fun and educational
Disadvantages: None at all
Recently Jayden has really got into stacking things, he will try to stack anything he can no matter what the shape, he has a bath toy which comes with 4 stacking cups and he loves these so I decided to have a look around for a larger set of stacking cups. I bought the Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups, these were ideal for what I wanted, they are a larger set of stacking cups but can also be used for other things.
The Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups come in a white and blue cardboard box, at the top of the box is the Fisher Price logo with the name of the product at the bottom, next to this is the age that this product is suitable for. The whole front of the box is cut out allowing you to see and touch the cups inside. On the back of the box is the Fisher Price logo along with a picture of a baby playing with the stacking cups. There is a small amount of product information on the back of the box this states what is included and also what this product will help to teach your baby. The cups are held in place with clear plastic which can easily be removed.
The Stacking Cups
The Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups are basically 10 multicoloured cups of varying sizes, on each cup is a number written inside a white circle, the number is in the same colour as the cup, with number 1 being the largest cup and number 10 the smallest cup.
There is a hole in the top of each cup which helps your child to grip them. The cups have ridges going all the way around the with a small star pattern around the top of each cup. The cups are made from a tough and strong plastic and are all the colours of the rainbow.
As well as the 10 stacking cups you also receive a small yellow plastic rattle ball with a smiley face on the front of it. The Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups can be used in 3 different ways, they can be fitted inside each other creating a nest, or they can be stacked on top of each other with the rattle ball placed on top, when stacked in this way the cups click onto each other to hold them in place, the third way is that the cups click together to create plastic balls that can be rolled, certain cups fit together for example cups 1 and 2 create a ball, as do 3 and 4, 5 and 6 and so on, again the rattle ball can be placed on top of a ball to create a little person. This particular toy is said to be suitable for children aged 6 to 36 months.
The Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups help to teach and introduce your child to a range of skills including size, shape and how to fit things together, as well as these skills playing with these cups will also help to teach your child counting (with the numbers on the cups) colours and counting.
By practising stacking the cups whether it be as a tower or as a nest your child will develop their co-ordination. Although this is quite a simple toy it really does help your child to develop a range of skills.
Price and Availability
We purchased our Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cup from Argos and they cost £9.99 Personally I think this is an excellent price for this item as the cups can be used in several different ways so your child will get a lot of use out of them, also they are excellent at helping your child to develop, personally I feel they are definitely worth the money.
Since Jayden received his Fisher Price Stack and Roll Cups he has been extremely pleased with them, he loves sitting and stacking the cups on each other and into each other, he has not yet made the cups into balls, however if we make them into balls for him he will roll them backwards and forwards to us.
The cups are of an excellent quality, they are strong and durable and will withstand the rough treatment they may get with a baby. I particularly like this product as it is much more than just cups, also I know that as Jayden plays with them he is also learning and developing.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone, for us this is an educational toy that Jayden loves and will spend ages playing with, it is definitely worth the money.
Summary: A lovely set of stacking cups
