I don’t know whether to buy my small daughter a furby for Christmas, she always wanted one but I am caught in two minds. I know if I do, she will get ever so happy and play with the interactive toy for a week or so and then probably like most kids get ever so bored about it. I have heard that they can get ever so annoying after a while especially since I’ll be left with it. They are quite expensive, I saw one yesterday reduced to £25 but I could buy her something much better with that money from a toyshop. But, a Furby would make her happy. But, I do have my reservations for buying a furby I heard that they can drive people mad, and need constant looking after and feeding. You need to spend a lot of time teaching them how to speak English and some don’t even learn. However, don’t kids get bored of most new toys and perhaps a bit of responsibility will help her especially teaching it English. She’ll be able to transfer the words she knows to the toy and I can always take the batteries out if I get so bored of it. If anyone has a furby please can you let me know by leaving a comment if you think I should spend my money or not. I am going Christmas shopping again on Saturday, so I will let you know if I bought the Furby or not. I am beginning to get aggravated by it already and it’s not even here. That’s from reading a few bad reviews about them on Dooyoo.

Picasso - 23/12/00 My 5 year old niece had one bought last Christmas, she played with it on Christmas day and hasn't bothered since. |
