Advantages: Very cute and playful, Teaches children aswell
Disadvantages: Can get a little noisey
Furbies are great fun, for kids of all ages. I am 22 and i have had hours of fun, with my step daughters.
Furbies come in all sorts of colours. You can also get furby babies now.
What is a Furby?
A furby, is an interactive animal, that you have to raise and care for. They look alittle like gremlins. They are battery powered.
Battery instalation
On the bottom of the furby, there is a panel. Unscrew the screw, and pull the flap back. Place 4 aa batteries in and the screw the screw in. Now you are ready to go.
Fun Factor
The fun factor, is very high and they can become quite addictive. Saying that though, if they don't want to sleep, they can become annoying.
What do Furbies do?
Furbies teach children, about responsibility, without them knowing they are being taught. The more you look after them, and play with them, the more they will do.
If they are not cared for properly, they will not progress.
Furbies like to be:
*Tickled
*Talked to
*Fed
*Played with
*Taught things
In return they will:
*Tell you when they are happy or sad
*Sing to you
*Tell you what they like and don't like
*Talk to you
*Play games with you
*Play with other furbies, E.Ts and gizmos
*Burp
*Trump
*Sleep
The furby already knows two games, hide and seek and simonsays, but it is possible to teach it more.
To start with your furby, will speak furbish, but the more you play and talk to it, the more it will learn, understand and speak English.
Be careful though, not to swear in front of them too often, they do pick it up.
They react to noise aswell. If you are being to loud, the furby will tell you.
They need to be fed. This can be accomplished by, running your finger across their tongue. When they have had enough, they will tell you.
Conclusion
In all furbies are c
ute, and great fun. They will keep the attention of it's owner for many hours.
Being interactive, makes it so much more fun. You are always trying to teach it new things, so it never gets boring.
The batteries will last for about 4 weeks, depending on how much you play with it. When the batteries are gone, the furby will not forget what it has learnt. When new batteries are placed inside, it will carry on from where it left off.
There is a reset button, if things go wrong, and you do want to start all over again. Just push the reset button in, and it will start from the beginning, knowing only the basics.
