You are supposed to let your little one hit the pegs with the hammer until they have been knocked through to the other side. My daughter eventually understood what she was supposed to be doing with this whole set up but it was very difficult for her. I even gave it a go myself and it is difficult. I am not sure whether this is becasue it is quite new or if that is the way it will always be.

This is one of those very simple looking toys which have been about for years. It may not have all the fancy buttons and lights like many other toys but at least this means that you do not have to spend more money on batteries. I bought this for my daughter when she was about a year old from one of our local toy shops in which we paid £8.99 for it. This toy states that it is suitable for 6 months upwards so I thought she was a good age for it. When we arrived hame we finally let her play with it.
