      Happyland Take and go forestation

Whilst browsing in The Early Learning Centre just before Christmas for a gift for my parents to give to my son we came across this fire station. We quickly decided to purchase this as well as a police station to go with it as we have a lot of Happyland sets already and there are always really good quality, well made and fun. I liked the idea of getting both this fire station and the police station as then you can start to build a little village of all of these toys together.

Happyland is a magical land brought to you by those clever people at Early Learning Centre. They describe Happyland as, "A place where children's imagination can run wild. ELC offer a range of fabulous buildings, characters, animals and vehicles from this great range. With HappyLand toys children can build a collection that can be added to over time to create an imaginary town and learn about all walks of life."

I'm so glad we got this as this set is such a lovely little toy and one you can really build up your collection with. The fire station is only small but inside it houses a cool fire truck with a yellow ladder at the back. It's got big windows and big blue chunky wheels so you can zoom this fire truck across the floor to make an emergency call to the nearest fire. The fire truck will light up and make a nee naw nee naw noise when you put the fireman into the driving seat which is fun to do for role play and the siren does sound really realistic.

The fireman himself is very cool looking with a bright yellow firemans hat and uniform and like all Happyland people he is interchangeable so you can play with him in different sets and scenes and then back to this firehouse again.

The fire station has a yellow handle so you can carry it around which I like because then you can play with it in different places or can pack it up nicely as everything fits inside and can take it to other peoples houses to play with. It's a cute little barn looking station with the word fire written on the side. It has a bright red roof and really stands out as all good fire stations should. At the front are two big blue doors that open and the fasten with a hook so the fire truck can be securely stored in there or you can open the doors and watch it zoom out.

The set also comes with a little black cat. I always love the Happyland animal figures as they are always so cute and this cat looks just like a little stray that you would find making itself at home in a welcoming fire station. The set is for 18 months plus but I would recommend it for ages well before that. The police fire engine takes 2 x A76 batteries.

All in all I think this is a wonderfully cute little set and if you have other Happyland sets this fits in perfectly, great fun to role play with and make up fun stories with your little ones.
